Day 1

Morning: Arrival in Accra and meeting by your Nomad Africa Host to assist with entry formalities and transfer to hotel. Noon: Off for Ghanaian lunch in Osu. Have a world class full body Swedish massages and sauna then return to a candle-lit dinner at your hotel.

Day 2

Leave Accra for a scenic ride into the mountains, to visit Aburi Botanical Gardens, which are famed for its rare collections of species of exotic flower plants so beautiful that you will forever keep remembering them even long after you have left the garden. Other fascinating things at the site are The Bush House, The Rock Garden, The Pergola or Lovers lane, The Ficus tree, the retired helicopter, and the school of horticulture.
An Ecolodge will offer a spectacular view of Mother Nature’s gifts from a mountain side. After lunch, wade in the pool with the forest as a background and enjoy fabulous cocktails and cuisine.

Day 3

Depart at 8:00 AM for Lake Volta, the largest man–made lake in the world. Have lunch overlooking the serene Volta River. Enjoy a canoe ride to the Akosombo bridge. Retire to the riverside hotel for a freshly caught seafood dinner under the moonlight.

Day 4

Option 1: Spend the day and ferry ride on the famous MV Dodi Princess. Enjoy the day with barbecued picnic lunch with live Ghanaian music and great company, berth at the Dwarf Island for a picturesque tour. (Available on weekends).
Option 2: Depart early in the morning for Mount Gemi, the highest human habitation (760 m) in Ghana. Hike up for 30 minutes and witness the spectacular view of the Volta Region from the mountain top.
Take a scenic mountain ride to Wli falls, the highest waterfalls in West Africa for lunch. After lunch, walk through a small path in the rain forest and cross 12 streams in the process to the waterfalls. The water from the cliff descends a height of about 1,600 feet. The forest of the Agumatsa wildlife sanctuary is home to a colony of fruit bats, butterflies, birds, antelopes, monkeys and baboons.

Day 5

Depart at 8:00 AM for Big Ada, the Volta estuary set around 30 islets. Enjoy the water front on the beach, take jet ski rides on the river as well as a boat ride into the Atlantic ocean. Lunch and Dinner by the waterfront shall indeed be a memorable one. Select from an array of seafood, French and Continental dishes.

Day 6

Relaxed ride back to Accra  , spend the day shopping at the Accra mall and Oxford Street, Osu.

Day 7
NomadAfrica staff will assist with checkout at the hotel and provide escorts to the airport for your departure.
